Individual Therapy
At Minds Matter, we love working with people who want more out of their lives. Often, this includes clients who are in a transition–whether that be with respect to career, relationship, divorce, parenthood, or otherwise.
We have the utmost respect for each of our clients, who are willing to forgo the patterns and habits that they know in favor of a more profound sense of fulfillment and self-actualization. Let us work together to help you get more out of your life.

Teen therapy
Are you a teen (or the parent of a teen) navigating the ups and downs of life? Do you have trouble focusing at school? Issues getting enough sleep? Or are you generally interested in investing in your mental health?
We subscribe to the science that shows adolescence is a period of developmental opportunity if harnessed correctly. With a compassionate approach and a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, let’s work together to empower you to not just survive but thrive!
-
Couples Counseling
Do you feel more lonely with your partner than when you’re by yourself? Do you spend more time fighting with each other than providing love and support? Many of our clients ask: How can the most important relationship in my life be the one who causes me the most pain?
If you can relate to these questions, Couples Therapy might be the right next step. At Minds Matter, we truly believe that the most profound personal growth can come out of relationship conflict, if you have the proper guidance in resolving these conflicts.

Productivity & ADHD
You may feel overwhelmed and havedifficulty prioritizing. You may like you are constantly in crisis mode. You feel shame, anxiety, and frustration about the problems this has caused in your relationships, at school or at work.
At Minds Matter, we have extensive experience working with high-performing clients who feel like they are working harder than they should to stay afloat. Let’s work together to help you feel more control over your time, and more satisfaction out of your life.

Our Therapists
Dr. Maira Karan, PhD
Dr. Karan works with teens, adults, and couples facing identity questions and major life transitions. She uses CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR to support emotional regulation, trauma healing, and trust of self and others. Her work is grounded, culturally attuned, and especially supportive for those navigating the messy in-between of becoming who they are.
Dr. Ru (Rutuja Chinchinkar), PsyD
Dr. Ru specializes in anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, and chronic overthinking in clients who feel mentally overloaded but outwardly composed. Her work helps high-functioning teens, adults, and the families that support them to reduce mental fatigue, build emotional resilience, and restore a sense of control. She also offers coaching for parents—especially those balancing traditional cultural values with their child's growing need for autonomy, identity exploration, and emotional independence.
Dr. Christina Chick, PhD
Dr. Chick, our Founder and Clinical Director, specializes in high-functioning clients navigating low-visibility pain. She brings precision, depth, and structure to therapy—helping couples reconnect, individuals recalibrate, and systems shift. Her work centers on emotional clarity, nervous system regulation, and relationship repair.
